Meet The Founder + Lead Designer

JAROLYN 

Jarolyn Rua is the founder and lead designer of Jarolyn Rua Designs, where her passion for events, weddings, and interior design is at the heart of every project. With a natural eye for detail from a young age, Jarolyn often found herself planning events for family and friends as a teenager effortlessly transforming ideas into meaningful experiences.  From intimate gatherings to milestone celebrations, she quickly became known for her creativity and intentional touch.

 

What started as a hobby evolved into a lifestyle centered on creativity, care, and connection. In 2021, she officially launched her business, building a brand grounded in family, trust, and personal expression.

 

Today, Jarolyn is recognized for her refined yet deeply personal approach to design. She believes that the smallest details often leave the greatest impression, and her work reflects a genuine love for creating spaces and events that feel unique, authentic, and unforgettable.

Production Coordinator + Designer

KATHERINE

Katherine is known for her creative vision, strong organizational skills, and ability to bring events to life with precision and style. Her experience spans event planning, wedding coordination, and party décor, where she transforms concepts into thoughtfully designed, memorable celebrations.

Katherine previously worked at Kean University as a Program and Event Coordinator, where she assisted in the development, planning, and management of programs from concept to execution. In this role, she supported all phases of event operations, ensuring seamless coordination, efficiency, and successful outcomes within a fast-paced academic environment.

With a passion for both creativity and structure, she excels at blending design with logistics to create elevated experiences. Whether managing large-scale programs or curating intimate celebrations, she brings professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering impactful events.

Production Coordinator + Administrative Assistant

COLETTE 

Behind the scenes, you’ll usually find Colette keeping things organized and running smoothly. With over ten years in education and many years working in the event service industry, she’s calm under pressure, highly detail-oriented, and great at juggling all the moving parts that go into a successful event.

 

Colette is a true people person who believes clients should feel like family, not just another name on a list. Clear communication, teamwork, and genuine care are at the heart of how she works.

 

Outside of events, Colette serves as a PTA President, where she coordinates school events alongside a team she deeply values. She may not always be front and center, but she’s always working in the background to make sure everything, and everyone, is taken care of.
